We are hiring concrete fence installers
We are looking for installers for precast concrete fences, on sites in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. Experience with fences is an advantage, but we provide training on site. Applications by e-mail, to [email protected].
The work
- What the job involves
- Installation of concrete posts and panels at homes and commercial premises: drilling the hole, concreting the post, fitting the panels and leaving the site clean. Tools and protective equipment are supplied by us.
- Physical effort
- Physically demanding work. The 2000 × 500 mm panel weighs 57 kg and the double-sided one 75 kg — they are lifted as a team, never alone. The day is spent outdoors, on your feet, in all weathers.
- Where
- Lisbon Metropolitan Area. The team travels to the site together, in the company van.
- Hours
- Full-time or part-time. The start time is agreed with the team for each site, depending on the location.
- How it starts
- The first month is on a per-project basis — we call you for each site as it comes up. After that month, if the work has gone well, there is a move to a permanent, properly declared position.
What we ask for
- Experience
- It is not required. Anyone who has worked with fences, civil construction or gardening gets up to speed more quickly, but training is given on site.
- Language
- The site team works in English, so functional English is required — for safety and coordination. Portuguese is welcome, it is not required.
- Physical condition
- The work involves heavy lifting. It is only honest to say so now: anyone with back or knee problems will struggle in this role.
- Punctuality
- The team leaves together. Anyone who misses the time leaves the site at a standstill, and that counts for more than experience.
