White concrete wall

The white is not painted: it is produced with white cement, so the colour runs right through the piece and does not flake or fade. The distinction is what decides the purchase. A grey wall painted white has a film on the surface: it scratches, peels at the edges and needs repainting. A white concrete panel has the colour in the material itself — if it chips, underneath it is still white.

Structurally it is identical to the grey one: C35/45 concrete, welded steel mesh Ø3 mm + glass fibre, vibro-compaction, water absorption ≤ 6 %, reaction to fire A1.

White is also the best base for achieving a custom light colour. Over grey, a light shade needs more coats and never comes out the same.

An honest trade-off: to be clear, the efflorescence of the first few months is less noticeable, but road dirt shows up more. On a road with heavy traffic that is a factor to weigh up.

Why does white cost more?

White cement is a more expensive raw material than ordinary cement. The difference in the material is 8 € per m² compared with grey; the installation is the same.

The colour is not a paint, so it does not fade. What does happen with any external surface is that it collects dirt — which comes off with washing, including a pressure washer at low pressure if the wall is painted.

Can I combine white and grey?

Yes. A frequent combination is a grey body with a white trim, or the other way round. There are also double-sided panels with a different colour and texture on each side.

How long does an order take?

It depends on the factory's workload and on weather conditions — the concrete needs time to cure before it can be dispatched. The lead time is confirmed in writing in the quote, never estimated over the phone.
